Libertarians in Alexandria

Welcome to the Libertarian Party of Northern Virginia in the City of Alexandria! We invite you to meet with fellow libertarians virtually and in-person. You can subscribe to our newsletter and connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Below is information on how to join us for events, how you can make an impact on policy changes, and different community service projects in which LPNOVA is involved.

When COVID-19 lockdowns wind down, you are invited to join us for our popular policy-focused Happy Hours in Old Town once again. It is a great way to meet other local Libertarians and find ways to get involved while learning about the topic of the month. Be on the lookout for it and RSVP through Eventbrite, Meetup, or Facebook.

Policy Efforts

We are currently building coalitions for school choice, occupational licensing reform, analysis of parks and recreation budgets and contracts, and Ranked Choice Voting in the city. If you are interested in any of those, let us know!

Interested in leading the charge for liberty in your local community? We are actively recruiting and training people to be candidates for local offices such as City Supervisor, School Board, and other positions.

In 2015 Andy Bakker ran for Virginia House of Delegates, 46th District. In 2014 Jeffery Carson ran for U.S. House of Representatives in the 8th District. In 2013 Laura Delhomme ran for Virginia House of Delegates, 47th District. In 2012 Justin Malkin ran for Virginia House of Delegates, 45th District. Learn more about our past candidates here.
